We will pick you up at your hotel or the Tangier train terminal. Depending on your arrival time, you will see the Cape Spar Tel lighthouse, Tangier's Kasbah, the Sultan's Palace, and the Tangier Hills. After that, we will drive over the Rif’s highlands, passing via Tetoun to take in the views of the gorgeous mountains before arriving in Chefchaouan, one of the most picturesque settlements at the foot of the Rif Mountains. The medina of Chefchaouen has a Spanish-style square with many eccentric arts and crafts merchants, rooftop eateries, and cafés. Chefchaouen is a lovely village with strong Andalusian links, and you will have enough time to explore its distinguishing pale blue and painted buildings and twisting streets. During the Spanish Inquisition, numerous Jews and Moors sought refuge here. Overnight at your riad.
Our tour will begin in Volubilis, passing through Wazan and other Riff villages, after we have breakfast in the Riad. We will visit Volubilis to see the Roman ruins and learn about the Moroccan archeological site. We'll then travel to Moulay Idriss, a city constructed on the sandy spurs of the Khyber and Tazga mountains, with the buildings cascading spectacularly down the ravines. After that, we'll go to Meknes, where we'll have lunch and tour the ancient Medina's massive walls, including Bab el-Mansour, as well as the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we'll drive back to Fes, where you'll be placed in a luxurious Riad for the night. A one-night stay at your Riad.
After breakfast in your riad, get your 10-day tour from Casablanca on an exciting stroll around the Medina, where you will see many hidden objects that only the locals are even aware of. First and foremost, Fes served as Morocco's capital for more than 350 years and is home to the University of Al Karaouine, the world's most ancient active university. As a result, your private tour will take you to the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss, the Nejjarine Fountains, and the tanneries in town. After lunch, you'll walk along the historical Jewish quarter "the Mellah" and see the outside of the Royal Palace. You will have the ability to see one of Morocco's few authentic synagogues. In addition, your Fes tour starts with a short visit to a popular pottery plant, followed by a beautiful panoramic view over the central Medina of Fes. Overnight stay at your Riad.
Your driver/guide will pick you up as early as possible after an early breakfast at your hotel or riad in Fez. Your Fes to Marrakech desert tour will begin with a drive across the Saiss plains, past Ifran and Azrou, to the Cedar woods of the Middle Atlas Mountains. On the side of the road, you can see Barbary apes and stop for photos. Proceed to Midelt, where you will have lunch. From here, you'll cross the Ziz River, pass over thousands of sky-scraping palm trees and towering Kasbahs on your way to Erfoud, Merzouga, and Erg Chebbi, where your camel party will be waiting for you to ride your camels like nomads and watch the fading colors of the sunset over the Erg Chebbi dune forest. Return your camels to your Sahara desert camp to freshen up before preparing for your dinner under the stars, accompanied by the sounds of the local nomads' Tam-tam drums. Meet your guide in Merzouga after an early morning camel ride. Today's trip will take you through one breathtaking sight after another, including the stunning oasis of Tinghir, where you can take a walk along the Todgha riverside, seeing Berber communities and learning about the local people's way of life. Continue your road to the stunning Todgha Valley and stop for a tasty lunch at a nearby cafe. Before arriving at your riad, drive down the Kasbahs Road to Dades Valley in the afternoon.Overnight at your Riad.
After breakfast, drive along the Valley of the Roses, where you can visit one of the Rose water cooperatives and discover how the villagers make rose-scented perfumes using distilled rose water. We continue to Ouarzazate, passing through the Skoura oasis, which is known for its date palm trees, and then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO world heritage site that has been used as a set for numerous Hollywood films, fashion shoots, and commercials. The Kasbah has been carefully conserved and is made up of several Kasbahs that have been crammed together to form a single structure. We start our descent through the Atlas Mountains in the afternoon, going through Tizi Ntichka Pass and passing through several Berber villages with stone and mud buildings. You notice right away that life here hasn't changed in millennia!! Shepherds make up the majority of the population. We arrive late in the afternoon in Marrakech, and your driver will drop you out at your riad or hotel.
